I'm writing a book about extraordinary women in the US, women who are in dangerous jobs that used to be thought of as for men only and would love to include a chapter on a few ladies who belong to this organization.    In this book, I'm including female police officers, firefighters, military, pilots and a few others.  I'd like to get chapters on women in these fields of life telling about their lives, their work and how they came to be in their profession, any problems encountered along the way with male counterparts, their successes, views and experiences.  This book is to show that women are heroes and can and do great at these jobs in life.

About myself:  I'm an author of twelve books, non-fiction.  My website is www.shirleydicks.org if you'd care to see what books I have out already.  I give each participant a copy of the book when it's finished   The book will be published by myself at Mathews Books, which five of my books have been published.  The others were published by Prometheus Books, New Horizon Press and McFarland Co.

I want to include photos of each person in the book.  I'm just starting this book and hoping to have it done by November, 2008.
