DISTRICT OF CONNECTICUT AUSA TO RECEIVE “TOP PROSECUTOR” AWARD
Women in Federal Law Enforcement recognizes accomplishments of Nora
R. Dannehy
Kevin J. O’Connor, United States Attorney for the District of
Connecticut, today announced that Supervisory Assistant United States
Attorney Nora R. Dannehy has been selected by Women in Federal Law
Enforcement (WIFLE) as the 2005 recipient of the organization’s “Top
Prosecutor” Award. The award will be presented to SAUSA Dannehy on
June 15, 2005, at WIFLE’s 2005 Leadership Training for Federal Law
Enforcement Conference in Rancho Mirage, California.
SAUSA Dannehy has been in federal government service for 16 years and
currently supervises the District of Connecticut’s Hartford branch
office. She has prosecuted several complex public corruption and white
collar cases and for several years has served as the District’s
Professional Responsibility Officer, advising other prosecutors
concerning issues of ethics and professional conduct that arise in their
investigations and prosecutions.
“I speak for everyone in our Office when I say we are delighted
with Nora Dannehy’s selection to receive this prestigious award,”
U.S. Attorney O’Connor stated. “Nora combines a great work ethic
with outstanding legal abililities and integrity. Her prosecutorial
efforts have done a great service to the people of Connecticut, and she
is a wonderful role model. We are both proud of this award and honored
to work in Nora’s company.”
