Dear
United States Attorney:
WIFLE,
a not-for-profit foundation working to promote the value that
women bring to law enforcement, will hold its Tenth Annual
Leadership Training Conference June 16 - 18, 2009, at the Westin
La Paloma in Tucson, Arizona.
This year’s program will focus on leadership skills
necessary to embrace and facilitate change in all ranks of
government as well as an examination of key investigative issues
faced by federal law enforcement.
Registration is $475.00 up until April 30, 2009, and
$525.00 after that date. Registration
can be completed online at www.wifle.org but enclosed is a
registration form that can be locally duplicated.
Please visit our web site at www.WIFLE.org for all
details.
WIFLE
is actively seeking the support of federal prosecutors in an
effort to enhance our learning and networking experiences at the
conference. Continuing
our tradition, WIFLE will recognize “top prosecutors” during
our Awards Banquet on Wednesday, June 17, 2009, at 7 p.m.
This is the fifth year WIFLE is presenting this award;
individuals or “teams” of prosecutors who have had
successful prosecutions in calendar year 2008 may be nominated.
The “Top Prosecutor” award has been incorporated
permanently into our awards program.
Other awards presented that evening are the Julie Y.
Cross Award for heroism and exceptional courage, Outstanding
Federal Law Enforcement Employee, and Outstanding Advocate for
Women in Federal Law Enforcement.
Enclosed is a nomination form with criteria for your use.
The
WIFLE Annual Leadership Training is considered to be a premier
training event in federal law enforcement.
This year we are offering two important training
sessions: "Firearms
Training for Women - Practical Exercise" and
"At the Border" hosted by the Federal Law Enforcement
Training Center and the U.S. Border Patrol, U.S. Customs and
Border Protection, respectively.
The complete training program will be posted on our
website as will further details concerning the conference.
I
would like to personally invite you to our opening ceremony on
Tuesday, June 16, 2009, 8:30 a.m., if your schedule permits.
We look forward to meeting you and your agency's
personnel at this year's conference.
Sincerely,

Margaret M. Moore
President
