Benefits for WIFLE Members
As WIFLE members know, there are already great
benefits associated with being a member of WIFLE, including leadership training,
advanced skills seminars, news about new career opportunities, networking, and

federal law enforcement. Now, there are even more advantages to enrolling as a

• WIFLE has partnered with Shaw, Bransford & Roth, P.C. has
partnered with WIFLE to offer two free half-hour legal

• Professional Liability Program. *
WIFLE is offering a Professional Liability Program for its members called FEDS
Professional Liability Program. The current annual cost is $270.00, but with a
paid-in-full current membership, WIFLE members will receive a reduced rate of
$260.00 per year. Just type in “WIFLE” in the discount code section
when you go on line at www.fedsprotection.com
to purchase FEDS. FEDS will confirm membership with WIFLE before issuing
the discount.
• Marist College Offering Masters Degree Program
Marist College partnered with WIFLE to offer – only to WIFLE members – a chance to earn an online master’s degree in Public Administration for $12,000 in 18 months.

• Member Only Scholarship Program
(WIFLE Regular and Associate Memberships)
New for 2009, as a benefit to its members, WIFLE is offering
one scholarship in the amount of $1,500 per year to a member or member-sponsored
applicant. Once selected for the award, the student will receive an additional
automatic $1,500 in the following year, without renewing the application.
Applicants sponsored by a WIFLE member and WIFLE members sponsoring themselves
holding current membership as of February1, 2009, are eligible.

• Long Term Care Partners, LLC, is a wholly-owned
subsidiary of John Hancock Life & Health Insurance Company and
administers the Federal Long Term Care Insurance Program
and BENEFEDS, a secure website enabling Federal Family
members to enroll in and manage their FEDVIP (Federal Employees
Dental and Vision Insurance Program) coverage, under OPM
oversight.
Federal Long Term Care Insurance Program
The
Federal Long Term Care
Insurance Program, available to Federal and U.S. Postal
Service employees and annuitants, active and retired members of
the uniformed services, certain other eligible groups, and their
qualified relatives, is the largest employer-sponsored long term
care insurance program in the country. Coverage through the
program is offered on a voluntary basis and premiums are paid
fully by the enrollees.
BENEFEDS
Long Term Care Partners also administers BENEFEDS
under OPM oversight. BENEFEDS (www.BENEFEDS.com)
is a secure website enabling Federal Family members to enroll in
and manage their FEDVIP (Federal Employees Dental and Vision
Insurance Program) coverage. It also comprises the payroll and
billing systems and customer service functions necessary to
administer FEDVIP.
A website for the Federal Long Term Care Insurance Program,
www.LTCFEDS.com/WIFLE,
offers online applications, an interactive calculator to provide
customized price quotes based on age and choice of benefits, and
educational resources about long term care and long term care
insurance. Information may also be obtained by calling
1-800-LTC-FEDS (1-800-582-3337), TTY 1-800-843-3557.

renew for a 3-year period. Regular members can join or renew for 3 years
and receive a reduced rate of $125.00 – a savings of $25.00. Associate
