| Introduction |

WIFLE (Women in Federal Law Enforcement) is a non-profit corporation established in June 1999
from an interagency committee formed by the U.S. Departments of Justice and Treasury in the 1970s to address
why women were not joining the ranks of federal law enforcement. Through communication and cooperation we aim to improve gender equity in law enforcement by encouraging women to enter into and excel in their chosen careers.
