2008 WIFLE NINTH ANNUAL LEADERSHIP TRAINING

The Ninth Annual Leadership Training is almost here!  It will be held at the Hyatt Regency Tampa, Tampa , Florida , from June 23 - June 26, 2008.  Beginning on Monday morning, June 23, with the Annual Julie Y. Cross Memorial Golf Tournament, and ending with several workshops under the umbrella of “You and Your Federal Career” on June 26, the conference looks to satisfy and stimulate interest for all attendees.

Keynote speeches will be given by a number of prominent individuals including Robert E. O’Neill, United States Attorney, Middle District of Florida; Pam Iorio, Mayor of the City of Tampa; Gale D. Rossides, Deputy Administrator Transportation Security Administration; Michael J. Sullivan, Acting Director, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives; Mary Beth Buchanan, United States Attorney, Western District of Pennsylvania; Jane Castor, Assistant Chief, Tampa Police Department; and, Marcy Forman, Director, Office of Investigations, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Training sessions and workshops are scheduled on such varied topics as Women’s Issues for Law Enforcement; The SES Program; Leadership Issues 2008 – How to Survive and Thrive; The Interrogation of Saddam Hussein; Managing a “Wire” – Multi Agency Investigations; Real World Tactical and Career Survival for Women in Law Enforcement; The Thrift Savings Plan – Overview and New Distribution Options; and many more.
