Step Back in Time

Check the WIFLE website at www.wifle.org for an interesting look at what was happening in 1991 when women were celebrating 20 years in Federal law enforcement.  The information was put together in 1991 by the Interagency Committee on Women in Federal Law Enforcement, ICWIFLE, an interagency committee formed by the U.S. Departments of Justice and Treasury in 1977 to focus on the recruitment and retention of women in Federal law enforcement.  WIFLE, a non-profit corporation established in June 1999, is an outgrowth of that earlier committee and is the sole non-profit organization dedicated to promoting gender equity in Federal law enforcement.
